AMME takes systematic efforts to secure the mining and metallurgical industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan with qualified personnel.
For example, in 2017 to engage employers in the personnel training process within the World Bank Skills and Jobs Project, the Association participated in the development of professional standards in the areas of “metal mining and mining industry” and “geological exploration”. The Association has made the classification of professions and drafted professional standards.
In 2018, as part of the program for technological modernization of basic industries of the country, the Association jointly with the National Academy of Mining Sciences and its partners under the auspices of the Industrial Development and Industrial Safety Committee of the RK MID and with the support of several other interested organizations embarks on a program of consulting assistance to mining enterprises in improving competitiveness and sustainable development.
In 2017, given possible joint projects and training programs for the mining industry, the Association and Kasipkor Holding NJSC signed a memorandum of cooperation on technical and vocational education.
It also plans to organize and carry out scientific and educational courses on the application of innovative approaches to the processes of technological modernization of mining companies. In particular, the Association jointly with the National Academy of Mining Sciences will organize courses on the following topics:
Methodological basis for technological modernization of the mining industry;
Economics of process management for the mining transport activities;
Economics of sustainable development of the mining sector.
In addition, together with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Association is working on defining the staffing demands of the industry and assessing the scope of influence of modernization on the possible release of human resources and the outflow of employees in the run up to 2025.
